The Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Tournament ("Tournament") is sponsored and organized by Fandom Inc. ("Fandom" or “Sponsor”), a Delaware corporation, with offices at 550 California Street, Suite 830, San Francisco, CA 94104, United States of America.
FOR CLARITY, INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE ON YOUR ENTRY FORM MAY BE USED BY FANDOM FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADMINISTERING THIS TOURNAMENT, INCLUDING COMMUNICATION AND FULFILLMENT (SUCH AS SENDING YOU A PRIZE). IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR DATA TO BE USED BY FANDOM IN THIS MANNER, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM PARTICIPATING IN THE TOURNAMENT.
- 2. ELIGIBILITY
In order to be eligible, entrants ("Participants") must be 21 years of age or older and be a resident of the United States. Participants must have a registered Fandom account and a Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel game account and access to the game on a compatible device.
Automated or robotic entries will be disqualified. Entries are limited to one (1) per person. Entries are limited to individual consumers only; commercial enterprises and business entities are not eligible. Directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents of Fandom and their affiliates are not eligible to participate in the Tournament. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify from the Tournament, and any future contest or other event conducted by Sponsor, and to take such other action as may be appropriate, any Participant or winner who, in Sponsor’s reasonable suspicion, tampers with the entry process, violates these rules, or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. The Tournament is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
- 3. HOW TO ENTER AND TOURNAMENT DATE
The Tournament will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 7pm GMT (the "Tournament Date"). Check-in opens one (1) hour prior to the start time.
To enter the Tournament, you must, during the registration period from November 13, 2025 and prior to the close of check-in on the Tournament Date which is 6pm GMT on November 23, 2025.:
1. Register for the tournament on the official Rival page - https://www.rivalx.com/tournaments/cmhp7xcoi0000l504dzhm6ciu, and 2. Provide all required information, which includes:
- Email address
- Fandom username
- Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel username
Once check-in closes, a bracket of 32 players will be automatically generated. All qualified entries will be eligible to compete for the skill-based prizes and will be entered into the random drawing for the Random Participant prize.
By submitting an entry for this Tournament, you agree to abide by these rules and any decision Fandom makes regarding this Tournament, which shall be final in all respects. Fandom is responsible for the collection, submission, and processing of entries and the overall administration of the Tournament. Participants should look solely to Fandom with any questions, comments or issues related to the Tournament. Fandom may be reached by email at giveaways@fandom.com.
- 4. TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE AND GAME RULES
The Tournament is hosted directly on Rivalx using a Single Elimination (Best of 3) format and consists of 32 players.
- Format: Every participant competes in a single bracket. Once a player loses a match (Best of 3 series), they are eliminated from the Tournament. The first player to win two (2) games in a match advances to the next round.
- Match Procedure:
1. Players will access their Match Page on Rival to find their opponent's information and match instructions. 2. Players will join the designated Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki/Rival-created room in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. 3. The player listed as “Home” on the bracket will select a free table in the room. The “Away” player will join that table to begin the match. 4. Each Match Page includes a built-in match chat for player communication. 5. Following the match, players must report their results through the score submission tool on Rival. Rival moderators will oversee score disputes or player issues.
- Game Settings: All duels will be played in the official tournament room with the following settings:
- Duel Mode: Standard Regulation
- Life Points: 8000
- Duel Time Limit: 300 seconds
- Room List Permissions: Off
- Spectator Permissions: On
- Spectator List Permissions: Off
- View Replay Permissions: On
- Side Decks: Not Allowed
- Note: Draws are not allowed. Each game must have a clear winner and loser.
- 5. WINNER DETERMINATION AND PRIZING
Sponsor will award prizes to up to five (5) unique Participants. Winners for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place prizes are determined by skill and placement in the Tournament bracket. The Random Participant prize will be selected by a random drawing.
Prizes consist of Fanatical gift vouchers, which must be spent in a single transaction. The total prize pot is $120 in vouchers, broken down as follows:
- 1st Place: $50 voucher
- 2nd Place: $30 voucher
- 3rd & 4th Place: $15 voucher each
- Random Participant Outside the Top 4: $10 voucher
The winner of the Random Participant prize will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible Participants who compete in at least one (1) match and do not finish in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place. The drawing will be held after the Tournament's conclusion. The odds of winning this prize vary depending on the number of eligible Participants.
- 6. NOTIFICATION
Fandom will attempt to notify the winners via the email the Participant provided during registration. A winner may be required to show proof that they are the authorized account holder. A follow-up message with information on how to claim the prize will be sent to the winner after identification.
The winner must respond to Sponsor within forty-eight (48) hours of notification. Should a winner fail to respond to Fandom within such timeframe or be disqualified, Fandom reserves the right to select a new winner from the eligible entries (for the random prize) or award the prize to the next-highest eligible finisher (for skill prizes), at its discretion. Sponsor is not responsible for any delay or failure to receive notification for any reason.
Prizes are not transferable. No substitution of prizes is permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to provide a substitute prize of approximately equal or greater value if the advertised prize is unavailable. Sponsor makes no representation or warranty concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize awarded. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. All federal, state and/or local taxes, fees, and surcharges are the sole responsibility of the winner.
As a condition of participation and receiving a prize, winners agree to have their Fandom username (and/or Master Duel username) published in a blog post summarizing the event on Fandom's Community Central.
- 7. PARTICIPANT CONDUCT
Participants may not, in connection with the Tournament (including in-game names, chat, or related Fandom/Rival usernames), use any content that, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion:
- is sexually explicit or suggestive; unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group; profane or pornographic; or contains nudity;
- promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, working firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing);
- promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous; promotes any particular political or religious agenda or message;
- is obscene or offensive; endorses any form of hate or hate group;
- defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about other people or companies;
- communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or good will to which we wish to associate; and/or
- violates any law.
Your participation must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity.
- 8. DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
FANDOM IS NOT MAKING OR GIVING ANY REPRESENTATIONS, CONDITIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE TOURNAMENT OR ANY PRIZE OR ANY ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE TOURNAMENT. FANDOM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE, COST, OR INJURY THAT ARISES FROM, ANY OCCURRENCE, EVENT OR CONDITION OUTSIDE ITS REASONABLE CONTROL THAT MAY RESULT FROM OR AFFECT THE TOURNAMENT OR THE PRIZE OR CAUSE THE TOURNAMENT TO BE DISRUPTED, SUSPENDED OR CORRUPTED. FANDOM RESERVES THE RIGHT, IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION AND WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE, TO SUSPEND OR CANCEL THE TOURNAMENT OR ALTER THE RULES IF AT ANY TIME A COMPUTER VIRUS, TECHNICAL PROBLEM, OR OTHER UNFORESEEABLE EVENT ALTERS OR CORRUPTS THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE TOURNAMENT.
- 9. RELEASES
By participating in this Tournament and/or by accepting a Prize, you agree to release Sponsor, and each of its parents, affiliates and subsidiaries, and their respective successors, employees, agents, representatives and assigns and any platforms utilized as part of the Tournament (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injuries, death, losses or damages arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Tournament and/or acceptance or use of a Prize. The Released Parties shall not be liable for: (i) any injuries, losses, liabilities or damages of any kind including personal injury or death caused by or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of a Prize or from participation in the Tournament; (ii) telephone system, telephone or computer hardware, software or other technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays or transmission errors; (iii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iv) late, lost, delayed, stolen, misdirected, incomplete, unreadable, inaccurate, garbled or unintelligible Entries, communications or affidavits; (v) any inability of winner to accept or use a Prize; (vi) any printing, typographical, human administrative or technological errors in any materials or activities associated with the Tournament; or (vii) any of Participant’s actions.
If, for any reason, the Tournament is not capable of running as planned for reasons which may include without limitation, infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Tournament, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Tournament in whole or in part.
- 10. PRIVACY
By entering the Tournament, you grant Fandom permission to correspond with you via email and to utilize your email address, Fandom username, Master Duel username, and any information you provide for the purpose of the Tournament administration, communication, bracket generation, and fulfillment. Your Fandom and Master Duel usernames may be visible to other participants and the public via the tournament bracket. As stated in Section 6, winners' usernames will be published in a summary blog post. The information provided to Fandom will only be used by Fandom as provided in these rules and the privacy policy of the Sponsor posted at https://www.fandom.com/privacy-policy.
- 11. GOVERNING LAW
These rules and this Tournament are governed by and controlled by the laws of the United States, applicable to contracts made and performed therein. This Tournament is subject to all applicable laws. Void where prohibited.
